Zoo
The Zoo Augsburg was opened on June 12, 1937 as a park of German wildlife. In the period after the Second World War, the former "Augsburger Tiergarten" was also populated with exotic animals. The Augsburg Zoo is now the most visited cultural institution in Swabia with more than 600,000 visitors per year and is one of the 20 largest zoos and zoos in Germany.
Stadtmarkt
Nowhere else in Augsburg is the selection of fresh food, regional products and international specialties greater. More than 100 dealers offer their goods on the city market. Fresh vegetables, local meats, exotic fruits or home-made pasta are all part of the assortment. Even those looking for a gift or a floral arrangement, will find the city market.
